Here is a photograph taken of the Grade 1 class at Gander Amalgamated School for 1949-50. It is from the family album of Jim Butler. Jim thinks that the teacher's name was Mrs. Tipple. He remembers that her husband was an artist and he made sure that the classroom windows were the most decorated in the school.
