Rosalie Elizabeth Blois
Rosalie Blois, 62 of
Fredericton, N.B., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving
family and friends at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on April
3, 2007. Born in Bonavista, Newfoundland, Rosalie was the daughter
of the late Gladstone and Margaret (Peg) Lester.
Rosalie is survived by her husband Kitchener (Kit) Blois of
Fredericton, daughters Tina (Jack Korycki) of Yellowknife, NT,
Jackie (Glen Pugh) of Parksville B.C., Joannne (Bryan Ramsay) of
Mahone Bay, N.S., Jill (Peter Rose) and beloved grandchildren Emma
and Patrick Rose of Calgary, AB and special nephew James Swan
(Stephanie) of Avondale, NF. She is also survived by brothers
Edward (Kathy) Lester of Hope, B.C., Philip (Mona) Lester of Red
Deer Alberta, Bert (Madonna) Lester of Fredericton, N.B., and
sisters Carol Chamberlain, Dease Lake, B.C., and Debbie (Larry)
Paun of Calgary, AB. as well as numerous nieces, nephews and
in-laws across Canada. Rosalie was predeceased by her brother Eric
and sister Beatrice.
Rosalie enjoyed quilting, sewing, and gardening, and was an avid
fund raiser and leader of the annual Run for The Cure team
“Rosebuds”. She was a kind and generous soul who touched and
enriched the lives of all who were lucky enough to meet her on her
very short journey through life. She will be greatly missed by her
family and friends.
The family will receive friends and relatives at McAdams Funeral
Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton between 2-4 and 7-9 PM on
Friday, April 6, 2007. A memorial service will be held Saturday,
April 7, 2007 at 2:00 P.M with The Very Rev. Keith Joyce
officiating at Christ Church Cathedral, Fredericton, N.B. followed
by a reception at Cathedral Memorial Hall. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
