Verdun (Parrott) Whitehorn

Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, December 20th, 2010 Verdun Whitehorn, age 73.  Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Emeline Parrott; sisters, Daphne Ivany and Irene Raymond; brother’s-in-law, Walter Raymond and Weldon Ivany; sister-in-law, Dot Parrott.  Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her loving husband of 54 years Howard (Howie), sons, Wayne (Janet), Gord; daughters, Lynn Walsh (Randy), Lorna Budden (Gary), Gigi Abbott (Shawn); grandchildren, Laurie, Robyn, Mark, Kyle, Jeremy, Quinn, Aidan; great-grandchildren, Alyson and Ryan; sister, Joan Larcombe of Grand Falls -Windsor, Ted Parrott (Grace) of Gander, Bill (Marg) of Nova Scotia, special niece, Gloria Penney and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service on Wednesday, December 22nd at 2:00 P.M. from St. Martin’s Anglican Cathedral. Inurnment will follow at Commonwealth War Graves on the Trans Canada Highway. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Mrs. Whitehorn’s memory may be made to the Central Northeast Health Foundation. Arrangements entrusted through Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander.
