KEARLEY, Abraham John
- The death of Abraham John
Kearley of Plymouth, occurred in QEII Health
Sciences Centre, Halifax, on
July 16, 2007. He was born in
Belleoram, N.L., the
son of the late George P. and Eva (Dicks) Kearley. He graduated from
Gander
Academy, Acadia
and St. F.X. universities. He worked in geology for a short period of
time before beginning a 30 year teaching career. He enjoyed hunting,
fishing, time spent with his dogs and traveling. He showed and hunted
his dogs for over 40 years. After retirement he judged and traveled to
many countries of the world. He was a life member of the Canadian Kennel
Club, member of the Pictou County Kennel Club and a Canadian Kennel Club
All Breed Judge.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Anne
(Richardson); son, George (Noel), Marathon, Ont.; daughter, Lynn (Brent)
Munro, Belleisle, N.B.; grandsons, John and Brently; aunt, Dorothy (Kearley)
Petite, St. John's, N.L., and several cousins. Cremation has taken
place. Following his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral
service. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in
Heatherdale Memorial
Gardens. Donations in memory of John may be
made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction
