After high school I joined the Royal Bank, starting in Gander, later in St. John's.
In the spring of 1966 ( Come Home Year ) I left, transferred to Prince Edward Island.
That year I married Rolla Vincent from Glenwood and two years later our son Brian
was born. Three years later our daughter Stacey was born. We had good friends here so
decided to make P.E.I. home to raise our family.

I found a job witha local potato farming and exporting company, first as an accountant,
then buyer, seller and stevedore supervisor. The company had sales in the Caribbean,
South America, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Algeria, so I did some traveling to all except
Italy and Algeria. I very much enjoyed the traveling, either in the Venezuela Andes,
sunny Barbados, Madeira in the Atlantic, or beautiful Majorca in the Mediterranean .
Wonderful memories of 20 years in the potato business.
The potato company dissolved and for the last six years I have been employed as a " data
management tech " with local Department of Transportation.

Rolla and I are very proud of our three grandsons , Jack (in photo) and Sam in Burlington,
(sons of Stacey and James ) and Nolan (son of Brian and Wanda in Calgary ).
The grandsons are the reason we do not get back to NL as often as would like.
We still love the province. Oh well, retirement is coming!
