Rob and I during the summer with the two eldest
grandchildren in the back garden of Buckingham Palace!
I met and married my husband Rob Moore nearly 13 years
ago. I married quite late in life, having made nursing my
career for a few years. I am a registered nurse, midwife and
health visitor—the latter equating, I think, to a public
health nurse. I retired 8 years ago.Rob was a widower, his
wife having died from cancer some two years before I met him.
He has a lovely family, two sons and a daughter and we all get
on very well. There are now 5 grandchildren, too, which
keep us busy. We live in a semi-rural part of England, have a
medium sized garden which we both enjoy tending. We play green
bowls, play bridge and go walking a lot.My Mom and Dad reside in
Texas, where my mom died recently after a short illness. We
were able to get to her bedside to say good-bye. They were
married for 63 years. My sister Anne was here for three
weeks in May, her first visit to England in 20 years. Last
June we went on vacation to western Canada.
